Orchard House/Salem: Witch Village
I have this kept in the Orchard House section cause a lot of people don't know that Salem is very close to Concord-- and you can make the trip in a short time, depending on traffic on the highway. Salem is a nifty little town, although it is a bit full of tourists (it was crazy the day I was there!) The witch village is a shopping/museum area right near the cemetary & witch memorial. I liked this photo cause it has the witch statue, and the smoke. I think that Alcott would have found witches and the Salem witch trials fascinating, although I have no real evidence of this. But with her short stories being all about "dark" secrets and magical things, I suspect there was a bit of "early goth" in her.
