Women Writers seeks qualified fiction editor to receive open submissions and/or solicit submissions privately. You may choose the format for your chosen publishing selections (how many, how frequently you post, etc). Please see samples of current writing to see the format & style that some editors have followed. However, your theme & focus is up to you.

Note: The poetry editor position is now filled. Please consider submitting some of your poetry, and/or applying for the fiction position!

If you choose to solicit from the general public, submissions can be large volume with many that you won't love.... but many that you will. It is a labor-intensive position twice a year, but you can save all the submissions or handle them slowly.

HTML knowledge is not required, but would be a bonus.

Please send samples of your fiction and/or poetry plus a resume/vitae to the General Editor at kimwells[at]womenwriters[dot]net. Samples should be attachments in MS Word (.doc or .rtf), Word Perfect (.wpd) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. Position open until filled. You may choose how long you wish to do the job. If you receive the position, you will also be asked to contribute a bio & staff photo for our "about us" pages. You may choose to remain as anonymous as you wish to, however.

Please note: this position is a volunteer position. Consider it experience and a line on the resume. However, print publication opportunities will be forthcoming soon, and we hope to pay authors in the future, as well. You may also receive periodic "free" books of your choice.
